Oceanhorn On Nintendo Switch - OUT NOW!

Today, Oceanhorn is being released on Nintendo Switch!

Nintendo Switch is an amazing video game console and when I first got my hands on it, I immediately fell in love with it. The ability to go from portable mode to TV works flawlessly, and it all comes down to the genius design of the console. Nintendo has nailed the screen size of the device, to diminish the disparity between the modes – making sure the same game works perfectly on both modes. We investigated a lot of this when we ported a portable game (iPhone, iPad) to the big screen for PC and consoles and it is not as simple as it sounds. People have different expectations when it comes to big screen titles.

Oceanhorn on Switch is probably the most definite version of the game. The game is based on the remastered PC version of Oceanhorn and you can play it in both portable and TV mode. The game runs beautifully 60 fps / 1080p in docked mode and equally impressively 60 fps / 720p in portable mode. The game includes an amazing soundtrack from the industry legends Nobuo Uematsu and Kenji Ito, and our own brilliant composer Kalle Ylitalo. Voice talents range from Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV, Noctis) and Kevan Brighting (Stanley Parable, Narrator) to Fryda Wolf (Mass Effect Andromeda, Sara Ryder). We could not be more excited to give Nintendo fans a chance to enter the world of Oceanhorn.

Oceanhorn on Switch is probably the most definite version of the game.

From the personal perspective of a small indie developer, this moment feels historical. Like many others, I grew up with Nintendo consoles and games, and this Kyoto-based company will always have a special place in my heart. Nintendo has played a crucial part in the history of video games ever since the dawn of home consoles, and they keep setting the standard for video game entertainment from one decade to another.

From this love and admiration, comes my driving force to cherish the experiences I had in my childhood. I got into making video games, because of the ever-inspiring experiences such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Zelda.

Oceanhorn is a game for the Nintendo fans, because it was made by a bunch of them. We are well aware that it is a smaller title and a different title from many of the console experiences that inspired it – but I truly believe that we were able to capture some of the essence of the classics in this game, as well as establish Oceanhorn as a franchise of its own.

Have a great adventure, Switch owners!

Sigilists For Frostgrave

The first Wizard / Apprentice combo I have finally gotten around to completing for Frostgrave: the sigilists. Honestly I picked them because I love the minis.

The pair. I had forgotten to draw the symbols on the scroll. D'OH!

Better.
Notice the icy patch beneath her feet.
Using Secret Weapon resin bases.

And an over the shoulder look of rhte Apprentice and what she's reading. Don't be fooled - I think that's just Pride and Prejudice in Draconic or something...

Overkill's The Walking Dead - Review

Overkill's The Walking Dead - Review

Overkill's The Walking Dead is a sincere endeavor to convey a helpful adventure set in the notable Walking Dead universe, yet that effort feels somewhat like it's very little past the point of no return, as Overkill's The Walking Dead frequently doesn't feel like a shooter by any stretch of the imagination. It takes the rules built up by Robert Kirkman's comic series and its consequent TV adaption to heart in the wrong ways, forcing uneven decides on its missions that intensely restrict how you're able to play. Combined with a confounding combination of survival mechanics covered in unintuitive menus, useless customization choices, and non-existent incentives to enhance your gear, The Walking Dead feels foul and unfocused.

Quick Facts:

  • Initial release date: 6 November 2018
  • Engine: Unreal Engine
  • Developer: Overkill Software
  • Genre: First-person shooter
  • Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows

Overkill's The Walking Dead is a game about apparently thoughtless butcher with not very many plot strings drawing an obvious conclusion. There is no drama, there are no characters created crosswise over missions, and there is no nuance to for what reason you're killing people as promptly as you do the walkers. It has next to no to do with what makes The Walking Dead so incredible.

Overkill's the walking dead: Gameplay

The biggest enemy in The Walking Dead—besides, you know, the walking dead—is noise. Nothing floods the roads with zombies quicker than a noisy blast or a jukebox firing up a Queen track. most of the missions in The Walking Dead is a stealth mission. Basically, this makes the game fundamentally the same as Overkill's past co-op shooters, Payday and Payday 2. In those games, heists start out calmly until the point that an alarm gets activated and the best way to get out alive is to go loud.

Missions are diluted into more stealthy issues therefore, which can be somewhat engaging when you're working closely with teammates. As a major aspect of an efficient group you can keep noise to a minimum and dodge enemies completely, yet it generally just takes one player not sticking to the script to ruin a run. making the situation worse, there's no help for voice chat in-game nor some other approaches to communicate besides text talk, which is a huge bummer.

Check out this amazing gameplay from Polygon

Killing a couple of scattered zombies with baseball bats and blades is simple enough, however, in the end, somebody will make a noise calling for backup. Regardless of whether it's a gunshot, a blast, or a car alarm. If your group is messy, in the end the group will get too thick to battle at all, and the only wise thing left to do is run.

Even though fighting zombies is pretty simple, but you don't wanna get too close to them as they will grab you and will drain your health to a good amount as it takes some time to shove them off.

It's too awful that slaughtering zombies with melee weapons is so essential, though, because these weapons aren't much fun to use. There are machetes, baseball bats, and pickaxes, but they all feel clunky, and pretty much the same. And also fighting off thick crowds of zombies, again and again, becomes boring, but what satisfies me the most is the wooden tunk sound I get from smacking a zombie right in the skull.

Overkill's The Walking Dead: Characters

In Overkill's The Walking Dead, you take control of one of four new characters, each with their own uninvolved weapon specializations and one of a kind aptitudes. For instance, Maya is the medic and her unique ability is tossing down a med bag that can heal up anybody in your group. Aiden, on the other hand, gets streak blasts that can daze human enemies and distract zombie crowds.

Each character is fun in their own particular manner and, in spite of their strengths, anybody can utilize any weapon you discover, giving them a helpful adaptability. The distinction, however, is that they won't have the capacity to apply any of their skill upgrades or passive rewards to upgrade a weapon outside their wheelhouse.

But beyond that, the difference between the characters are for the most part detail driven other than a solitary unique skill.

From its restrictive mission structures, unbalanced difficulty and baffling methods of progression, The Walking Dead struggles to justify the time it requires from you. It's a collection gameplay diagrams stacked upon each other without insightful thought on how they may durably cooperate, wrapped with a dull presentation and ordinary combat that once in a while energizes. The Walking Dead is a wreck of scattered thoughts and an absence of direction, and there's no reason to make sense of it all.

The Verdict:

It's fun when you cooperate with friends and escape the horde of zombies by sneaky ways. But, it's all wrapped with a package of various disappointments: Technical issues, unavoidable repetition, and dull shooting experience.

We were expecting some sort of Hitman 2 game ever since IO started referring to the last game as 'The Complete First Season', which rather suggested that there was going to be a Season 2. (Though, as you'll know by now, those expectations have turned out to be not entirely accurate.)
Before a Hitman 2 release date could even be a thing, we needed a Hitman reboot that would be a return to form for the series. After the leaden and muddled Absolution, it's clear IO intends to build on the same sandbox formula they've perfected over the past few years.
After some stealthy – but decidedly non-violent – deduction work, we know loads of Hitman 2 trailer and gameplay details. We know the location of the first two missions, the ways in which the design of the initial game is being expanded, and a few of the silly/excellent costumes you'll be donning. Here's everything we know about Hitman 2.

HITMAN 2 RELEASE DATE

IO Interactive was not shy about revealing this one. The Hitman 2 release date is November 13, 2018. Hitch-free assassinations require patience, but that's barely a wait at all.

HITMAN 2 LOCATIONS

All of Hitman 2 locations have been revealed it looks like Agent 47 is going to acquire lot of air miles. The six locations are Miami, Colombia, New Zealand, India, USA, and the North Atlantic with Austria being the setting for the Sniper Assassin Game Mode. We've seen plenty of Miami and Columbia and in IO's most recent trailer we can feast our eyes on Hawke's Bay, Mumbai, Vermont and the Isle of Sgàil.

MIAMI, USA

Miami was the first Hitman 2 location that we got to feast our eyes on. We've played through Hitman's 2 Miami mission where Agent 47 attended the final hours of the Global Innovation Race a spectacle for the fastest cars in modern racing. In Miami you are tasked with killing a motorsport driver.

SANTA FORTUNA, COLOMBIA

We've also played the game's second mission, and know that Agent 47's work will take him to the thick Colombian jungle. In this level, foliage is your ally as Agent 47 will be slinking through the underbrush to make his kills. There are three targets: Rico Delgado, Jorge Franco, and Andrea Martinez. There are hippos, heavy-chandeliers, drug-filled souvenirs, a precariously rickety gold statue, and the opportunity to stab someone with a tattoo pen. Clearly creatively bumping people off will remain at the forefront of this sequel. IO also said in a press release that guards won't be the only threat this time, so prepare for wild animals and poisonous plants.

HAWKE'S BAY, NEW ZEALAND

Hawke's Bay, New Zealand looks to be an interesting location. The location trailer shows Agent 47 on a beach at night time perusing his target, sand being kicked up everywhere. With just the sand dunes and the sea for as far as you can see, its going to put your stealth skills to the test.

MUMBAI, INDIA

Mumbai is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, its loud, crowded, and there are plenty of opportunities for a sneaky and stealthy kill.
